Sterling was second on the AMHA Honor Roll in three divisions in 2001: Two-Year Old Stallions 28" and Under, AOTE Stallions, Amateur Stallions - Level 2. He was also Amateur Supreme and several times Junior Champion and Reserve and AMHA Top Ten. At 27.5", Sterling was Reserve National Champion AOTE Stallion and fifth in Amateur Level 2 at the 2002 National Show. Sterling was killed in the pasture by a pack of dogs in 2006.
